When I Grow Up!

As stated yesterday on the blog, we are posting some of the outstanding blog post written by our "Dream Your Career" Campers. They spent the day learning about Social Media, Public Relations and Journalism. What bright girls! They inspire me each day to keep positive and keep learning. Stay tuned for more Camper Blogs this week!

"I think this camp will help me learn how to network and interact with
others. I want to teach and own a jewelry business. I love working with
children, but I'm not too good with marketing and talking to people, so for my
business I will have to learn better people skills.

I can get to my goal by realizing I am the only person who can stop me from
being successful. I don't plan on stopping myself so I won't stop, I have
already gotten a head start at both of the things I want to do. I work with
children at my church, and I sell jewelry to people. I will be getting an
education. With that if I do decide to change my mind on what I want to do I can
go far because I will be an educated woman. Having a plan now also helps me
because I can do things now that will give me a little experience for now.

I like change, but it does slightly scare me. I have to let that go and
learn that I decide if a change will be good or bad because I have to make the
best of it. I know things won't go as I have so carefully planned, but that is
part of getting to used to and accepting change. When I teach I will tell my
students the same words of encouragement that were given to me and that I gave
myself.

-yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.
-never worry about today because tomorrow it will be just a memory."
