When I Grow Up! Part II

Blog post #2 from our Dream Your Career Summer Campers:

"Here I am at The Women's Museum, for the dream your career camp. My mom signed me up in early March and for some reason I didn't find out until three days before the first camp. The science camp was very fun and I enjoyed it, so I am looking forward to the next one.

This is my first career camp so I'm not really sure what to expect. When I grow up I hope to be a
doctor. What kind of doctor? A plastic surgeon. If not then I want to be a veterinarian really love animals and I enjoy being with them. To go for jobs that difficult I know that I am going to have to
work hard to achieve that goal. If not the first two, than I want to be an Actress. I have always loved drama and I enjoy interacting with others. I also like traveling to new places and trying new
things.

The Women's Museum if a really cool place to go. The last time I was here I saw the exhibits and how cool and interesting they were. After I saw them it really made me think. Women's history is
usually not as appreciated as men. I think that we need to learn more about our history and the
different women who made a stand. Certain women changed the world as we know it. For example, Elisabeth Blackwell was the first woman doctor. Without her I would not be able to be
a doctor! I think it's silly that women didn't use to have that same rights as men even though we were all made as equals. We are all humans. That is why I am thanking the women who made it
possible for me to be what I want to be."
